Tara Foley is executive director of Brewer-Porch Children’s Center. She was born and raised in Tuscaloosa and has dedicated her career to working with children and adults in the areas of child welfare, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, health care and trauma-related disorders. Her experience has provided her with opportunities to provide services in a variety of settings, including in-patient, out-patient, residential, community and home-based. Foley received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from The University of Alabama. She has her LICSW/PIP license and has practiced in the field for more than 25 years. Foley says she became a social worker because of her desire to help people in need. She strives to make a positive impact in the lives of those she works with and says they have left powerful imprints on her life.
